The Franklin County United Way has been sponsoring a Tutoring Program for students in need of help with school work. there is a morning session and an afternoon session, as the School District opened in half day model. They are in need of volunteers to help with the program and Director Leigh Hanson says she is trying to make it so the program can continue:
Hanson says there are 27 students enrolled in the tutoring sessions and she is in great need of volunteers to help. If you can help, call the United Way Hotline, 222, say you want to volunteer and they will direct you to Hanson.
