The Franklin County Commission approved a Special Use Permit for ATT&T to build a new communications tower in the county. This, despite a representative from SBA Towers arguing ATT&T had plenty of room on their tower to expand and upgrade. Chris Sevens, representing SBA, told the Commission, because of this and the fact that AT&T had not attempted to negotiate with them, the permit should be denied. County Planning Director, Larry Walrod, contradicted that statement:
On the recommendation of the Planning Commission, the Commissioners approved the permit to construct a 287 foot tower.
