Ottawa High School has a tradition of naming two “Students of the Week”. Teachers nominate a student and put their names into a jar with the reasons behind their nomination, then two are selected each week. This week, OHS freshman, Jimmy Elder was one of the students selected for the honor. Ottawa High School Principal, Kelly Whitaker, on why Elder was nominated:
