A 70 year old Pomona man has died in a drowning in Pomona Lake. Seventy year old Floyd Moehlman of Pomona died when his boat capsized near a boat ramp.
The Osage County Sheriff’s Office says it received a call on Monday evening, shortly after 6:30 regarding a capsized boat in the Carbolyn Park Boat Ramp area at Pomona Lake. Deputies, Osage County EMS, Osage County Fire District #5 and a Game Warden with the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism were dispatched to the scene. Shortly after arriving, Deputies say a body was located in the water. Lifesaving measures were attempted, but to no avail.
