The KDHE has issued a Boil Water Advisory for the City of Carbondale in Osage County. They issued the Advisory due to a loss of pressure in the system. You are encouraged to flush your lines until they run clear, boil water for one minute before drinking it or using it to cook with. Dispose of ice cubes and do not use ice from the automatic ice maker. Water used for bathing does not generally need to be boiled, but caution should be taken to ensure children do not ingest the water.
Samples have been taken and will be tested by the KDHE to ensure no contamination has taken place. the Advisory will remain in place until rescinded by the KDHE.
