An anonymous donor has come through, in a big way, for Freedom Park in Ottawa. The Park is along Poplar by the Don Woodward Center. Ottawa Community Development Director, Wendy Lee, says a gift of $40,000 will give the Park not only some serious upgrades, but, also move it to high ground, just east of the Woodward Center:
Combine the donation with a Goppert Foundation Grant of $40,000, a donation from the Winter Foundation for another $5,000 and a Grant to get the Equipment at half price, and the people have a new park at no cost to the City of Ottawa, plus a half court basketball court will be installed at Walton Park.
