With the flu season just beginning, health officials are stressing the importance of getting a flu shot this year. Kansas is now in the Red Zone for COVID related hospitalizations and Kansas Health Secretary Dr. Lee Norman is concerned:
He adds that while the flu shot is not a 100% guarantee that you won’t get the flu, it reduces your chances by over 75% and if you do get it, the symptoms are usually much less severe.
