The Franklin County Health Department updated the COVID 19 Cases in the County on Friday. There has been 17 new cases since Wednesday. With a wide age range, 5 to 74 years old. the active case count is backup to 75 with 40 pending results. State, County and local health officials are stressing the importance of wearing a mask, washing hands and avoiding large gatherings. City Manager Richard Nienstedt gives a personal example on why he wears a mask:
Statewide, Governor Kelly will begin working with State Legislators and County Officials to encourage Counties to implement their own mask orders, something they believe is of vital importance as we move into colder weather and flu season.
