Today is Election Day across the Nation. Many people voted early and many others received advance ballots in the mail. The question has come up about those receiving mail ballots or voting early possibly being able to double vote. However, Franklin County Clerk, Janet Paddock, says all the information is cross checked through several systems and the county’s new “Poll Pads” prevent that from happening:
She adds that the Pads were purchased with COVID 19 relief money to help the County ensure that safety and integrity of all voting methods and make sure that voter fraud was not possible. She is expecting record turnout for this years election, after combining mail ballots, early votes and in person voting at the polls today.
Don’t forget to exercise your right to vote. The polls are open from 7:00 this morning until 7:00 tonight.
