The Franklin County Health Department updated the COVID statistics on Friday and reported 31 new positive cases. There are now 150 active cases in the county, the highest number recorded, including five hospitalizations and sadly, two more deaths, bringing the total to seven. Interim Health Director Nick Robbins, again, is urging people to wear a mask to help prevent spread:
Surrounding counties are reporting uptick in cases also. Anderson County reports 62 active cases, Miami County reports 60, Osage County with 25, Linn County with 22 and Douglas County, still the hotspot with 426 active cases.
