If you are traveling in Anderson County, you have further road closures on 169 Highway.

The Kansas Department of Transportation says the closure now begins at the K-58 Junction and continues north to the U.S. 59 Junction. KDOT expects the closure to remain in effect until August 2021. Barricades have been placed at the following locations, with local traffic only allowed:

U. S. 169 at K-58, but K-58 remains open
1000 Road at U. S. 59
Maryland Road at US 169
400 Road at US 169
300 Road at US 169

KDOT reminds US 169 traffic to use the Signed State Route Detour on US 54 and US 59 and not use County Roads as detour routes. The highway closure is part of the $21 million project to reconstruct and rehabilitate 7 1/2 miles of the US 169 in Anderson County.
