The problem of shutting schools because of the COVID 19 crisis may have forced Ottawa School Officials to consider other formats of the traditional school year. School Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs says the old way of doing things is insufficient:
No final decision has been made on whether to adopt year-round school, and such a major change would be phased in over several years. Dr. Cobbs points out that all year school with regular breaks would actually make learning more consistent compared with the traditional calendar.
