With the active case count again at an all time high of 228, Franklin County reported 27 new positive cases since Monday. There are 65 pending tests and four people are currently hospitalized because of the virus. Local Health Officials are encouraging people to wear a mask and follow other safety protocols. Kansas Health Secretary, Lee Norman, says right now it’s the only way to slow the spread:

He added that reports from rural areas indicate that fewer people are wearing masks, and he encourages local businesses to insist on mask use with their employees and all customers.
