An Osage County woman was the person killed in a single vehicle crash on U. S. Highway 56 in Douglas County last week, according to an updated report from the Kansas Highway Patrol. Fifty six year old Tammey Harrison of Vassar, was westbound on the highway at 5:40 Tuesday afternoon, in a Chevy Uplander, when for an unknown reason, the vehicle drifted into the eastbound lane and the south shoulder, then flipped and came to rest in the south ditch. The crash occurred about five miles east of Overbrook.

According to the Lawrence Journal World, Harrison was a caregiver for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
