Another major event postponed due to COVID. The Garnett area Chamber of Commerce has announced they have postponed the 50th Annual Christmas Parade and Lighting Ceremony. In light of recent events and recommendations, due to COVID 19, the Chamber and Parade Sponsors unanimously agree that for the health and safety of the entire Community, postponing the celebration until next year is necessary.
They do want to thank all the volunteers and members for their hard work to prepare for the parade. Their efforts are greatly appreciated. The Chamber says they will have the “Golden Celebration” next year and will keep the same current theme and Grand Marshals and same name for the parade contest winners. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to your participation in the Golden Anniversary Parade in 2021.
