Preliminary estimates reported by the Kansas Department of Labor and the Bureau of Labor Statistics show a Seasonally Adjusted Unemployment rate of 5.3% in October. This was a decrease from 5.9% in September and an increase from 3.1% in October 2019. The October report shows Kansas has continued to make an economic recovery during the pandemic. The Unemployment Rate in Kansas dropped to 5.3% in October, with non farm jobs going up by over 12,000.
