The Osage County Commission stopped short of a Mandate on wearing masks, stating that they do not mandate the use of masks, but recognize the significance of utilizing them to mitigate the transmission of COVID 19, Though not mandated, they are strongly recommended in Osage County whenever in any public space indoors, or outside when at leat six feel social distancing cannot be maintained.
The Commission found that a Mandate is inherently unenforceable at the County level. they also encourage social distancing and discourage unnecessary gatherings.
They also gave businesses, schools and other entities the authority to choose to require patrons, customers, employees and others to wear face coverings in their facilities.
