It wasn’t an official parade, but it was a celebration of the holiday season. With the cancellation of the 50th Annual Christmas Parade and most of the activities that went with it, a Caroler’s Caravan paraded around Garnett Saturday night. People decorated their trucks and cars and they criss-crossed across the city for over an hour, just singing Christmas songs and reveling in the Spirit of the Season.
City Manager, Chris Weiner, narrated a Facebook Live Event to light the City’s Christmas lights Friday night with Christmas music playing in the background:
Parade organizers have announced they will keep the same theme, Grand Marshals and everything else, regardless of rescheduling it soon, or having to wait until next year.
