A new program by the Kansas League of Municipalities, “Mask Up Kansas”, encourages people to post online why they wear a mask. Ottawa City Commissioner, Sara Caylor, is the President of the organization and she introduced the program at a recent City Commission Meeting Study Session. She gave her reasons for wearing a mask, even though she, like many others, doesn’t like it:
The County is following the Governor’s Mask Order and encourages everyone to wear a mask as COVID cases in the County continue to increase. There is a big concern that a spike in numbers could come in the next couple weeks from Thanksgiving festivities.
