As the good news comes out of Franklin County regarding nursing homes, Governor Laura Kelly has imposed stronger coronavirus testing rules for several hundred state-licensed nursing homes that will have most of them testing their employees twice a week. Bradley Jepsen has more:
The rules require greater testing of employees if a county’s rate of positive tests grows. Yesterday, a panel of experts formally recommended that the Food and Drug Administration authorize the vaccine, which it may do as early as tomorrow, giving health care workers and nursing home residents first priority to begin receiving the first shots early next week; however, it’s likely to be months before vaccines are available to everyone.
