An early morning Christmas Eve fire destroyed an older single story farmhouse this morning. The fire was reported by a passerby when they saw flames coming from the house at 5:14. The Lincoln-Ottawa-Harrison Township Fire Department responded and was assisted by the Ottawa Fire Department who responded as a part of a Mutual Aid Agreement between the two departments. No one was home at the time of the fire. It’s believed the family was traveling for the holidays. The house is in the northeast corner of the intersection of Marshall and Kentucky roads west of Ottawa.
