We’ve talked about several organizations and individuals who have helped people in our community this Christmas season and throughout the year. People that are willing to lend a hand to those in need. Another couple of examples I learned about yesterday:
Geoff Poston organized a Holiday Rent Free Event that paid the rent for four families in the area. Several local businesses made this happen, including Three Guys Liquor, PS Investigations, Rod Door Home Group and Prestige Real Estate. This group also provided a much needed electric wheelchair for an Ottawa resident.
A huge shout out to all the people who helped a local couple who had their rent money and Christmas money, along with car seats, taken from the vehicle. That rent money, Christmas gifts and car seats have been replaced, all courtesy of local people who wanted to pay it forward to someone in need. Thank you to all the people who make Ottawa such an incredible place to live, work and play.
