It seems the Ottawa City Commission is having trouble agreeing on a common Residency Requirement for city employees. Currently most staff is required to either live within the city limits or within Franklin County. A revised policy would require most to live within 35 miles of Ottawa. Commissioner Mike Skidmore says the whole requirement should be dropped:
