The Kansas Highway Patrol has released it’s New Year’s Weekend Holiday Activity report. The reporting period ran from 6:00 Thursday evening through midnight Sunday. The Patrol is proud to report there were no fatal crashes during that time. DUI arrests were up significantly fro last year; from 15 to 26 and speeding citations and warnings more than doubled to over 1,300. Seat belt citations and warnings were down from 77 to only 53.
This is the third year in a row that there were not fatality accidents associated with drinking and driving.
