About 200 supporters of President Trump rallied yesterday at the Kansas Statehouse to show their support for the President. Trump’s supporters listened yesterday the speeches, including one from former Kansas Secretary of State, Kris Kobach, supporting Trump’s claims about Election Fraud and suggesting that the COVID 19 pandemic has been exaggerated. They chanted “stop the steal” and “four more years”. A few dozen of them later entered the Statehouse Building peacefully and through its Security Checkpoint and stayed for another hour.
Capitol Police reported no arrests and no threats of violence. The protest came the same day the Certification of the Democratic President-Elect’s Electoral College Victory was interrupted when pro Trump protesters converged on the Capital and entered the building, causing a delay of several hours while authorities attempted to clear the building and restore order.
