The COVID vaccine is in Kansas and being distributed in Phase One of Governor Kelly’s Plan where high risk healthcare workers and people in care homes are among the first to receive them.
One question that keeps popping up is: What if I have already had the virus and recovered? Do I need to get the vaccination? According to Dr. Terry Klein, a Clinical Researcher for the Coronavirus Vaccine Trials in Wichita, yes, because levels for antibodies can vary over time:
So far, one in every 15 Kansans have tested positive for the coronavirus; and, while more vaccines are on the way, State Health Officials are swaying that Kansas is still a long way from being completely protected.
