Many of you may have noticed a lot of police sirens blaring last night around 11:30. Authorities were looking for and chasing a woman who had stolen a car. About that time, 69 year old Belinda Holloway reported a theft of a vehicle in the 400 block of East 4th. Officers responded and spread out looking for the car. It was spotted and a traffic stop attempted; however, the driver of the vehicle did not stop.
After a 20 minute pursuit, officers were able to stop the car in the 500 block of South Locust. The driver, 49 year old Kathleen Fishbach, of Ottawa, was arrested for Felony Fleeing and Eluding, Felony Interference with a Law Enforcement Officer and Felony DUI. There were no reports of damage to the vehicle or injuries reported.
