Governor Laura Kelly will outline some of her priorities tonight in the State Of The State Address. Lawmakers started the Session yesterday, but the speech tonight will let Kelly lay out her plans for Kansas. She has already said she will ask for Medicaid Expansion again. The speech is recorded rather than live, in the House Chamber, because of the pandemic. The Governor’s Budget Plan will become public later this week. Republicans are already staking out some positions that could clash with Kelly, including pushing for tax cuts and restricting her power to respond to the pandemic.
