A Grant of nearly one million dollars through FEMA has allowed the Ottawa Fire Department to buy new air packs for all the fire departments in Franklin County. One hundred thirty packs, 260 air tanks and face masks were received and split among all the departments Ottawa Fire Chief Tim Mathias says part of the Grant is in an Air Trailer, due for delivery soon:

All the fire fighters in the entire County now have the same air packs and they can be used interchangeably. Ottawa’s last air packs purchased in 2007, were long overdue for replacement.
