The Franklin County Health Department has successfully administered 200 first doses of the COVID 19 vaccine to County residents over the age of 83. The Vaccination Clinic took place Saturday at the Ottawa middle Shool gymnasium. Vaccines were administered by appointment only and given to those who had already signed up through the Health Department Interim Health Director, Nick Robbin, is enouraging people to call the registration number to sign up for the vaccine:
The vaccines were given to those registered, by age. Robbins says there are still 650 resident over 75 awaiting vaccinations. The County does not know when they will receive additional doses, but they are prepared to administer those doses as soon as they become available.
