Several local airports have received Grants from the U. S. Department of Transportation through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act and will help support the airports with expenses related to COVID 19.
The Ottawa Municipal Airport is among those receiving funding. They have been awarded $13,000. This Grant provides economic relief funds for cost related to operations, personnel, cleaning, sanitization, janitorial services, debt service payments and combating the spread of pathogens at the airport.
The Garnett Municipal Airport also received funding for the same expenses, with $9,000.
