The Ottawa School Board has decided to join several hundred school districts in Kansas in a lawsuit alleging natural gas companies engaged in price gouging during the extreme cold spell in February. School Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs says the Ottawa School District got a bill that was much higher than normal:
The School Board voted unanimously to join the litigation. The lawsuit is being organized by an organization called “KJUMP” which stands for the Kansas Joint Utility Management Program.
