A traffic accident last night, in the 1500 block of Main Street, injured two people and left five cars damaged.
at 8:15 last night, police and emergency crews responded to a report of an injury accident in that area. Upon investigation, it was determined that 19 year old Dakota Towne, of Chanute, struck a vehicle driven by 55 year old Ma Marquez, of Ottawa. After being struck, Marquez’s vehicle left the road and struck three other vehicles in a business parking lot.
Towne was cited for Operation without a License, No Insurance and Failure to Yield the Right of Way. Both were treated by Emergency Medical Services crews and released on scene.
