Some much needed road work on Virginia Road, north of Lane, should get underway before too long. Franklin County Public Works Director, David Lee, told the County Commission, the problem must be fixed:
The project is being classified as an Emergency Relief Project. Most of the work will be covered by Federal Funds, with Franklin County responsible for $58,000 of the total cost of about $260,000.
