At 6:37 yesterday evening, the Franklin County Sheriff Deputies responded to reports of an injury crash on I-35 at milepost 193. A 2018 Honda HRV and a 2018 Ford Transit van were both traveling northbound on I-35, when the driver of the Honda attempted a lane change, causing the two vehicles to collide. The Ford van was forced into the center median and over turned to its side. In the Ford van were five members of the Blue Valley West High School Baseball Team and it was being driven by a coach. All of the occupants of the van were wearing seatbelts and were evaluated for injury. In the Honda was a 24 year old female from Abilene. She was the only occupant and was wearing a seatbelt, but was transported to an area hospital by Franklin County EMS.
