With word that the Pfizer COVID vaccine is safe and effective for young people, Governor Laura Kelly has announced it will now be available for Kansas kids 12 and over. the announcement follows the Monday expansion of the Emergency Use Authorization by the Food and Drug Administration, Kansas Department of Health and Environment Secretary, Dr. Lee Norman, says it’s an incredible step forward in the fight to protect the entire population against the deadly virus. He reminds people that those under 18 do need parental permission for the vaccination.
Governor Kelly is encouraging all Kansans to roll up their sleeves and do their part to ensure we can continue to get back to work, back to school and back to normal.
