The new Executive Director of Prairie Paws Animal Shelter is sending some tough messages to the Ottawa City Commission. Vanessa Cowie was presenting her budget request to a sharp funding increase. She says in the event the Commission doesn’t want to increase funding, then something else needs to be discussed:
Cowie has requested the City increase its funding by about $20,000 for the new Fiscal Year.
