The deadline to file for local city commissions and school board offices is coming up on June 1st. As of Monday, about 20 people have filed for those offices in Miami County. Two incumbents are refiling in Paola, Michelle Latto, in Position Six, and Kelly Frank for Position Six.
Other Positions up for grabs include Mayor and City Council Seats. In Fontana, there are three Council seats. In Louisburg, Mayor and Council Precinct 3; in Osawatomie, Mayor and Precincts 1, 2, 3, and 4; in Paola, Mayor and Precincts 1 and 3; Spring Hill, Mayor and two At Large Seats.
School Board Races include:
Louisburg USD 416, Positions 3, 4, 5 and 6; Osawatomie, Positions 1, 4, 5 and 6; in Paola, Positions 2, 4 and 6; in Spring Hill, Position 4,5 6 and 6; Prairie View, Positions 4,5 and 6.
