The Ottawa swimming pool is gradually coming back into usable shape. Public Works Director, Michael Haeffele told City Commissioners that crews are repairing several major leaks:
Haeffele says the leaks were discovered when the pool was being filled with water a few weeks ago. ORC officials say the pool will not open as scheduled on Tuesday. As soon as the repairs are complete and the water is sanitized, the guards will need to do some training and they are going to do everything they can to get the facility running as soon as possible.
