It’s Summer and that means warm days, time at the lake or poolside relaxing, cookouts and big freaking fireworks for the family
A recent study shows that Kansans spent more than $20 million on fireworks last year, that is the second most in the Nation–
and that was in a very restrictive year. Can you imagine what’s going to happen this year?
Allegiant Fire Protection says after a year of quarantine, Americans are ready to celebrate the Summer holidays with a bang…But, the bigger the celebration, the bigger the risk of sustaining a burn. According to the study, Kansas ranks as the state with the 8th most firework related injuries. It says Kansas saw a 20% spike in burns and firework injury related web searches, from June of 2020 to August of 2020, compared to the rest of the year.
I can’t wait to see the sky light up this year!
