The Ottawa City Commission will hold a Special Meeting tonight, prior to the Regular Meeting, to establish and organize a Land Bank. The City will officially take ownership of an area of land known as “The Coves” in the northeast part of Ottawa. City Attorney Blaine Finch says the City will have some leeway on how the subdivision will be build, once lots are sold:
Covenants outline what can and what cannot be done with the land. The City purchased the properties at an auction earlier this year. The Land Bank Meeting will take place a 6:00 tonight at City Hall and will be live streamed on the City of Ottawa’s Facebook Page.
