Several Paola High School Journalism students have earned high honors during Regional and State competitions recently. First Place Awards in the Kansas Scholastic Press Association Regional Competition include Abbey Richmond in Sports Writing; Natalie Glassel in Video Public Service Announcements; Abby Heger in Video Sports Promotion; Liv Meredith in Yearbook Design and Editorial Cartoon; and Kylee Slyter in Headline Writing and Design.
In the State Competition: Anna Campa won Nature Photography; Liv Meredith in Yearbook Design and Natalie Glassel in Social Media.
The Paola High School Journalism staff placed third overall in 4A.
The Kansas Scholastic Press Association hosted the competitions digitally.
