The Kansas Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run passed through Ottawa and, a $10,000 donation from Kalmar of Ottawa provided a good launching point. Special Olympics Kansas, CEO John Lair, says the Torch Run is a big event:
Officers from the Ottawa Police Department, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Highway Patrol all participated in the Ottawa Torch Run.
