The Ottawa City Commission has formally set up a Land Bank, with the Trustees composed of the City Commission. During an introductory meeting, Community Development Director, Wyndee Lee talked about the Land Bank and property taxes:
The Land Bank was set up to accelerate the development of empty lots in the City, thereby promoting more economic activity. The Bank is especially focused on what is called “The Coves”, located in the northeast part of town.
