The Ottawa Optimist Club will hold the 25th Running of the Ducks tomorrow. Eight thousand rubber ducks racing down the raging rapids of Skunk Run in a torrent of water; well, something like that. The annual run was halted last year by the Pandemic and this years event will be quite a bit different than in years past. Optimist, Dale Fox, says it won’t be a big public event:
Other cash prizes follow that. Fox says the Duck Run will be live streamed on Facebook, but the actual time of the run will not be publicly announced as, out of Pandemic safety, they don’t want a large crowd; however, it will be held sometime tomorrow. He hopes that next year they can return the Duck Run to what it used to be.
