The tragic boat accident that killed a woman and two young children Saturday on the Neosho, at the Burlington City Dam, was a tragic reminder of the importance of boating safety and being familiar with the water you are in. The accident Saturday claimed the lives of Maribel Moran and her three and five year old boys. The boat they were riding in, with Moran’s husband, Wesley Sharp, stalled as it approached the Burlington City Dam. The boat was swept over the dam, the impact throwing everyone out. Sharp was the only survivor.
