When the Ottawa City Commission decided to form a Land Bank, they had specific properties in mind. they had just purchased 44 lots in an area known as “The Coves” in northeast Ottawa, that had been sitting empty for years. City Manager Richard Nienstedt tells us what the Commission has in mind:
He added that they are still working out if they want to have a single developer buy the lots and build on them, or if they want to sell them off individually. He hopes there will be some action quickly, as lots in town are going fast.
