There is a move to house the Franklin County Historical Society Archives and the Tourism Department together, at the re-opened visitors center; however, there may be some bumps along the way. During a County Commission Study Session, Tourism Volunteer, Lucinda Spencer, told Commissioners what she thought of the plan:
County officials emphasize that planning to move the Historical Society out of the run-down Crestview Center is still in its early stages. Several County Commissioners stated they were still in favor of the plan, but maybe some changes can be made to make it more palatable to all.
