The use of vaping products and electronic cigarettes among young people is growing at an alarming rate, particularly at the middle school level. USD 290 has applied to be part of a Pilot Program that will offer solutions to the issue. Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs says they should know soon if they are accepted:
In a recent survey, over 30% of middle schoolers said they regularly used vaping products or had tried vaping in the last six months.
