The Ottawa Police Department is working with the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in an attempt to find a missing Ottawa teen. Fifteen year old Aliya Hardridge was last seen Saturday afternoon around 4:15 when she left her home, in the 700 block of East Garfield, to go on a walk. She never returned home and the family has had no contact with her since. Her cell phone got a ping near Highland, Illinois, on I-70, but since no other phone record have been received.

Ottawa Police Chief Adam Weingartner says during the investigation, his staff has canvassed homes on the north side, searched wood lines, railroad tracks and are asking residents to review home surveillance or doorbell cameras to see if Aliyah can be seen. Weingartner encourages any of her friends, who may know where she is or have any ideas who she may be with, to contact police. He says detectives have been in contact with the Kansas City and the Norfolk, Virginia Police Departments as well, as the KBI and FBI for assistance in following leads.

Aliyah is a black female, five foot 7 inches, 195 pounds. She has short black hair and small braids. She was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt with the word “LOVE” on it, over a grey Harley Davidson tank top and black shorts. Contact the Ottawa Police Department, or call 911 immediately if you know anything about where Aliyah might be.
